Dave Okomu Feat. The 7 Generations - I Came From Love

A conceptual body of work presented in chapters of three to four tracks each, ‘I Came From Love’ is the second solo album from Austrian-born singer Dave Okumu, known as the frontman for Mercury-nominated band The Invisible. Recorded with Tom Skinner (The Smile, Sons Of Kemet) on drums and a host of collaborators including Eska, Kwabs and Wesley Joseph, it’s a skilful blend of rock, jazz, neo-soul and spoken word poetry presented under the title The 7 Generations (which Okumu explains is an acknowledgment of his own ancestry as well as his musical influences).
