Fisty Kendal - Price Match!

After an 8 year wait we finally have a vinyl follow up to Fisty Kendal’s debut album (one of the first artists on Third Kind). This is such a rich selection of music inspired by IDM, hip hop, funk, Detroit techno etc. His biggest influence is early Aphex Twin and the ‘braindance’ artists from his Rephlex label, so there is a resolute humour that runs through the album, with a subtle commentary on subjects such as the cost of living crisis, producing electronic music and the sudden rise of AI, which he has also written a number of articles on in his day job.

There are guest spot collisions from longtime Croydon homies Superman Revenge Squad on the philosophical post-punk-rock-sprechesgang ‘Dead Crow Blues’ and rising star of Ugandan rap Swordman Kitala (Nyege Nyege, Hakuna Kulala) on the machine funk of ‘Songa Tuceze’.
